ITMD 129 - Design CommunicationThis documentation package supports Urban Reflections, a multi-family residential concept inspired by the rhythm of city life and the industrial character of Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District. The package includes furniture cutsheets, an annotated furniture plan, and a material board to communicate key selections, finishes, and layout decisions. Together, these documents show how the design can be clearly presented to a client or developer.
Annotated Furniture Plan
The annotated furniture plan identifies the selected furniture, lighting, and accessories used throughout the unit. Each tag corresponds with the project’s cutsheets, making it easier to connect the floor plan layout to specific design selections. This plan also shows how furniture placement supports circulation, function, and the overall flow of the space.
Material Board
The material board highlights the architectural finishes selected for the unit, including wall finishes, flooring, cabinetry, surfaces, tile, and trim. These selections establish the overall palette for the space and show how color and texture work together to support the design direction.
